It has been a busy month in the studio! I've had a workshop since my last blog post and have been very busy building my next collection and planning paintings for that. I have to say, I am so excited about these new paintings...I think they are some of the most beautiful paintings I have ever done. And there may be a lot of gold and metallic leaf.
This was inspired by walks with my gorgeous dog and a long drive through the Cumbrian marshes. Did you even know there were marshes in Cumbria?
On top of the landscapes, there will be quite a few birds coming up in this next release. I love birds. I think they are absolutely magical, and it fills me with joy every time I see one. Each of these bird paintings has a special story to me.
The robin is a work in progress still, but they are such special birds to so many, I can't wait to finish her this week. And look at the gorgeous little claws!
Last, but certainly not least, I am building the educational side of my business to include online! It's a goal of mine to have a YouTube channel and eventually an online course teaching art, but it will take time. Well, this month I am going to be posting my very first YouTube video! I have an idea in place to teach you to paint a starling murmuration in oils.
